On Sun Sept 9, 2006 at 1:30pm-5:00pm, ADAMS to take part in Interfaith Unity Walk in DC from Washington Hebrew Congregation, National Cathedral, National Sikh Gudwara, Islamic Center,and Gandhi Memorial.

What: On Saturday, September 8, 2007 and Sunday September 9, 2007, members of the All Dulles Area Muslim society(ADAMS) will conduct and take part in many interfaith activities. In this time of reflection and 6th Anniversary, our hearts are with the victims and the families of the victims of the September 11th tragedy and our prayers are for peace and compassion. Through getting to know one another on a personal level, people of different faiths can build bridges of understanding respect, and tolerance. American Muslims Condemn Terrorism and Extremism.

On Saturday September 8, 2007 at 6pm-9pm, ADAMS will hold the 6th Annual Interfaith PEACE Gathering at the ADAMS Center in Sterling, VA, in remembrance of the victims of the World Trade Center and Pentagon attacks. Interfaith groups will be represented and speaking at this event. ADAMS will also be honoring Local Police and Fire Departments for their continuous community service. Local Government Officials will also be speaking at this event. Please RSVP if you will attend at rojpm@yahoo.com

On Sunday September 9, 2007 at 1:00pm-5:00pm, The ADAMS community is co-sponsoring and participating in the Interfaith Unity Walk(http://www.911unitywalk.org/) in Washington DC at the Washington Hebrew Congregation, National Cathedral, Islamic Center, and Gandhi Memorial. 1:00 p.m gather at the Washington Hebrew Congregation (3935 Macomb St NW at Mass Ave) going to the National Cathedral, National Sikh Gudwara, Vatican Embassy, Islamic Center (2551 Mass Ave), and concluding at the Gandhi Memorial Statue (Mass Ave at 21st ) at 4:30 p.m.

Purpose Statement: We gather in peace to demonstrate our unity, recalling the spirit of togetherness that grew out of 9/11. We commemorate this day because concern for each other’s welfare is the shared hope of us all.
