Classes at ADAMS Center - POLICY STATEMENT

Definition
For the purpose of this policy a class is a session or a series of periodic sessions, attended by a group of people as learners, and led by one or more persons as instructor or instructors, at which presentations and discussions relate to one or more topics of interest.
Process
A person or persons who wish to organize, conduct, teach, mentor, advise, or deal with a class or classes, as defined in this policy statement, shall be required to submit an application or applications, one for each class or each set of classes that constitutes a course, to the Education Content Approval Committee for review and approval or denial of such an application or applications. No activity of any type regarding a pending application may be conducted until final approval has been formally received by an applicant. Content Review
All content of any and all class sessions are subject to related policies of ADAMS as, specifically listed in the application form for seminars/classes. These policies, which shall be considered part of this policy statement, are based on the vision, mission and strategic priorities of ADAMS and may not be violated in the conduct of any activity under ADAMS ’ sponsorship or on ADAMS ’ property. The Director of ADAMS’ and any other designated official shall have the right to review the content of any session at any time to ensure compliance with ADAMS ’ policies.
Procedures
Operations Director of ADAMS Center, with approval of the President , shall determine procedures to comply with this policy statement, including the type and use of forms, deadlines, facility allocation and use, and other operational, logistics and security concerns.
