All Dulles Area Muslim Society (ADAMS) is seeking candidates for the following positions:

Principal – Children’s Education Program - Part Time, Gainesville Branch

The Principal is the leader of the school overseeing the teachers, students and curriculum. The Principal is expected to support, contribute and administer the School in accordance with the following: to provide a quality Islamic education to the students; in an environment that reflects a love of Islam and the country; and to teach, promote, and encourage religious observances in the home and community.

Under the supervision of ADAMS Education Program Operations Committee (EPOC) the Principal works closely with the Imam’s Office to execute the program successfully. The Principal is hired on an annual contractual basis. The Principal works throughout the year as needed to complete the assigned duties. The Principal is responsible for managing the program budget.

Candidates should have at least a Bachelors Degree in Education, Islamic Studies or a related field (Masters Degree preferred), 4 years of classroom teaching experience and 1 year of experience as a school administrator or comparable experience. Candidates must have successful track record of leading youths and a strong knowledge of Islam and its traditions.

Requirement for the Program Coordinator Positions:The Program Coordinator serves as the hub of organization and communication within the office.  The Program Coordinator is expected to support the principal, staff and parents. The Program Coordinator must also be dedicated to the program and dependable.

Candidates should have an aptitude for written and oral communication, word processing ability and user knowledge of software applications such as various databases programs, desktop publishing, and spreadsheets. Due to internal and external dealings with people, must also possess initiative, organization, tact, refined interpersonal skills and good customer service.

The Program Coordinator is hired on an annual contractual basis. The Program Coordinator works throughout the year as needed to complete the assigned duties. The Program Coordinator is responsible for opening and closing.

Assistant Teacher – Multiple Programs in Multiple Locations

All Dulles Area Muslim Society (ADAMS) is seeking candidates for Assistant Teacher positions (part-time) for various programs at the Main Center and the Branches.

Requirement for Assistant Teacher: The Assistant Teacher serves as a support to the lead teacher.  The Assistant teacher is expected to perform the following duties: to help the lead teacher with lesson planning, preparing teacher material, conducting class activities, monitoring the students in class as well as when they are on break, help set up the class room and prepare copies before class.  The Assistant teacher should also be able to step in if the lead teacher is absent.

The Assistant Teacher is hired on an annual contractual basis. The Assistant Teacher works throughout the year as needed to complete the assigned duties.

Candidates should preferably have at least a Bachelors Degree, but college students are also welcome to apply. Classroom teaching experience or comparable experience is preferred. Candidates must have successful track record of leading children and youths and a good knowledge of Islam and its traditions.
