The All Dulles Area Muslim Society (ADAMS) expresses sincere condolences and deepest sympathy to the victims of the horrific and evil mass murder of 58 people and injury to 520+ people. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families of this tragic event, the worst mass shooting in modern American history. As Muslims, we believe that if anyone kills one person, it is as if he/she has killed all of humanity, and if anyone saves one life, it is as if he/she has saved all of humanity. Nothing can possibly justify this evil criminal and terror act, and its ramifications must be condemned by all.

We reiterate our commitment to work together with our interfaith, public policy and law enforcement partners to end violence and extremism in all forms. ADAMS policy is to welcome people of all faiths and work closely with law enforcement agencies. We therefore applaud and thank local, state and federal law enforcement officials for their vigilance and readiness in stopping the perpetrator of this vicious attack from doing further harm.
