ADAMS leadership is heartbroken and devastated after discovering the new details of the horrific crimes committed by Darwin Martinez Torres. Based on the indictment, we wholeheartedly welcome the capital murder charges brought against the perpetrator and we remain confident that this will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
We thank Fairfax County Commonwealth’s Attorney Raymond Morrogh and Chief Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney Casey Lingan, Fairfax County Police, and Loudoun County Sheriff’s departments for their diligent efforts in conforming the charges to capital murder based on the heinous and brutal crimes committed. The new capital charges affirm our confidence in the Fairfax County Commonwealth’s Attorneys Office.
We continue to keep Nabra in our thoughts and prayers. We pray for her family and the other young victims during these very difficult times. We understand that an old wound has been reopened and the new charges are difficult to comprehend. We remind all to trust in God and turn to Him in these difficult times. We would like to thank the entire ADAMS community, our interfaith partners, and Government officials for their continued support.
As a reminder, we have licensed counselors and social workers available to community members who would like to utilize their services. Please contact 703-433-1325 (ext. 105) or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
