ADAMS Condemns Terrorist Attack on Churches, Hotels & Other areas in Sri Lanka
Updated: May 5, 2019
The All Dulles Area Muslim Society (ADAMS) is outraged, saddened and sickened by the terrorist attack against Churches, Hotels, & Others areas in Sri Lanka that killed over 207 people and injured over 450. We condemn this despicable and cowardly act. We call for absolute justice in prosecuting these heinous terrorist criminals.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims, the Sri Lankan People & Christian community during this awful time. Please support the Sri Lankan community victims and families.
For this to happen in a house of Worship is especially appalling. We have seen domestic racist hate crime terrorist attacks against Churches in Louisiana, South Carolina, and other parts of USA. We have seen foreign inspired terrorist attacks against Churches in Pakistan, Nigeria, & Middle East. We have seen too many instances of vicious attacks in Churches, Mosques, Synagogues, Temples, and other Houses of Worship, and it is time to say, “No More!”.
Once again, we urge a swift Law Enforcement response to this terrorism, as well as proactive measures to better protect all countries’ citizens. ADAMS joins all people of good heart and good conscience in standing against any terrorism and extremism. We continue to pray, to hope, and to work for peace here and in every nation around the world.
